Thanksgiving Weekend

We saw a lot of family that we have not seen for awhile. Aunt Jane and Nancy both flew into Kansas City for the weekend. We enjoyed Thanksgiving with them. We also enjoyed going out to dinner with the Bloch side of the family for mexican! Thanks for a great time!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year was just as busy as the others. We tried to spend time with all of our family and friends. It has been awhile since we have been to Kansas City. We enjoyed seeing everyone. For Thanksgiving, we spent the morning and afternoon with Sarah's side of the family, then we spent the late afternoon/evening with Jeff's side of the family. During both adventures, there was plenty of food for us to enjoy. Kayla liked playing with Christy and Hunter. She is such a ham; she poses for every picture! We also enjoyed the company of our friends, Lindsey and Brad. On Saturday night we found out Jeff's sister recently became engaged to Rusty! We sure crammed in a lot of fun into one weekend!

Light the Night

Shawna and I joined Nicole for a walk to honor people with Leukemia. We went to West Glen and walk around the strip mall. Everyone in the walk recieved a red baloon with a light in it. We also walked by hot air baloons that lit up the night!

Pumpkin Patch

It is that time of year again. Hayrides, pumpkins, slides, corn, and homemade pie!
Mimi came to visit us and we went to the pumpkin patch together. We enjoyed a long hayride and playing outdoors. Kayla liked playing in the kernels of corn.

Our New House!

This is our new house! We will move into the home in October. This is a new construction home, we are so excited to be the first owners! We are having having the builders extend the deck and finish the basement!

Fun with Bubbles

Kayla was suprised with a bubble gun! She loves it. She pointed to her new toy and said "bubbles...pease!" That "pease" should be please, but that is how she says it.
We went outside and played with the bubble gun. It produces 100 bubbles all at one time. I know what I should have Kayla play with to make her happy!

Fun at the State Fair!

The Iowa State Fair was in a book called "1000 things to do before you die". Well, Becca and Erica read that and decided they just have to come visit. So, they drive five hours to Iowa to visit our one and only state fair! We saw horses, pigs, cows, bulls, and so much more. You can by any type of food on a stick. We even saw a cow made out of butter! What could be better? Here are a couple pictures of us at the fair! Erica and Becca enjoyed hanging out with Kayla! She was the life of the party. She loved all of the animals, especially the baby animals. Later, we met up with Jordan and Tiffany to enjoy the fair!



On Sunday evening, Nicole, Shawna, Phylis and I enjoyed the Sheryl Crow concert. Of course, we had to wear our cowgirl boats! The concert was amazing. I really enjoyed the opening act with Colbie Caillat!

Farmer's Market!

Here are the pictures of the Farmer's Market! We enjoyed the samples of food and enjoying our friends. Kayla also enjoyed a train ride. She did not want to ride the train by herself, so mommy enjoyed the train ride too!

Counsin Fun!

Kayla enjoyed playing with both of her cousins. She ran around the whole house with Hunter and showed him how to go up and down the steps. Here the pause for a quick picture!

Kayla also enjoyed playing in the pool with her other cousin, Christy. They went down the slide, played in the water, took pictures with the floats, and played in the fountains! It is so nice to have cousins close in age. What fun!

Happy Birthday to Jeff

Jeff turned 28 on August 11, 2010. To celebrate, we went out to eat for Mexican! Jeff's favorite food. The staff found out about the birthday boy's big day and came with dessert and signing for the whole family. They also put a sombraro for Jeff to wear. We tried to put the hat on Kayla, but she didn't like it! Happy birthday Jeff!

Welcome Baby Asher!

Kayla and I went to go visit the second baby to the Criger family. My good friend Amy, had her second baby on July 30th. When we came to their house to visit them, Asher was laying down. Kayla went up to him and said baby, baby, baby! She even touched his head while she looked at me with a big smile. I enjoyed holding baby Asher. It has been a long time since I had held a newborn.


While Amy and I talked, Kayla and the older brother, Jude enjoyed a snack together. Congratulations Amy, Job, and Jude! Asher is beautiful!
