First Swim!

The swimming pool opened this weekend, so naturally, we had to take advantage of the nice weather to cool off with the pool. Putting on Kayla's swim diaper, her suit and sun screen lotion took a good thirty minutes. Then we blew up Kayla's baby float. Kayla went into the car with sun screen still smeared on her face because she refused to let us rub it into her skin. As we went into the pool, Kayla was very hesitant of the water. She took baby steps into the water and then a giant leap outside of the water with a cry. Mommy and daddy grabed her hand and she eased into the pool. She eventually loved the water with help of her float! Mommy and Kayla relaxed in the shallow end of the pool while we watched daddy go off the slides!

Fun with Friends!

What a fabulous night with the girls! The night started by going out to dinner at Bravo with Nicole, Shawna, and Lynn! We sat on the patio and saw the view of the lake. The requirement for our girls night was to wear dresses and high heals! Of course, we were going for the "Sex and the City" look. After dinner, we saw the "Sex and the City Two" Movie! Girlfriends are the best!

Biker Girl!

Our daycare provider said she wanted to take Kayla out for a bike ride in her toddler carrier. We went straight to the bike store and got her a helmet! Watch out world, here is Kayla!

Happy Mother's Day!

I enjoyed my second Mother's day with Kayla! We decided to visit family to wish them a happy mother's day too. Saturday morning, we went out to breakfast with great grandpa and Bobbie, Grammie, and Aunt Judy. Kayla was more interested in walking around the restaurant than eating her breakfast! During the day, I was able to play with G-G at her house, then we went to Nana and Papa's for dinner! Kayla ate a lot of cheesy-potatoes! We celebrated mother's day on Sunday first at Grammies then we went to Nana's and Papa's!

Blue Moon Fun!

Grammie Carol came to Des Moines to visit us! We had an eventful day at the zoo where I saw all of my favorite animals. Saturaday night, Grammie and I played while mommy and daddy went to Blue Moon with friends! Thanks for visiting! We would love to have more visitors anytime!

Congratulations Mike and Christi!

Mike and Christi got married in Manhattan! Grammie Carol watched Kayla while Jeff and Sarah went to the wedding! We enjoyed seeing our friends in our old stomping grounds!Congratulations Mike and Christi!

Happy Birthday Hunter!

As Kayla turned 15 months, her cousin, Hunter turned one! The Curry family had people over for his birthday celebration! Kayla enjoyed eating cake and ice-cream! It sure was a messy diaper for mommy and daddy to clean up afterwards! Happy birthday Hunter! Big one year old!

Crown Center Fun!

We took the two princesses (Kayla and Christy) to Fairy Tale Land where they walked though many houses from fairy tale stories. The houses included Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Three Little Pigs, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and much more! The girls enjoyed Cinderella's coach the best!





After Fairy Tale Land, we took the girls to the Crayola store where they had fun chasing the designs on the floor and coloring a picture together.



As we were almost ready to head home for the day, the Easter Bunny arrived to the mall. Kayla was not thrilled being with the bunny by herself but she calmed down a little when her cousin joined her side!
