Cousins!

Kayla has always enjoyed playing with her cousins, Hunter and Christy. She (and the Curry family) is now blessed with another cousin of Kayla's. Baby Coton was born a couple weeks ago to Aunt Kelly and Uncle Rusty! Congratulations Kelly and Rusty! We can't wait for all of the counsins to play together!

Smart Girl!

If you listen close, you can hear Kayla count to four on her own. Then, she needs a little help! She is such a smart girl!

Kayla's 2nd Birthday!!

On Wednesday January 5th, Kayla turned 2 years old!!! We had so many friends come over to celebrate. Kayla got so many new toys, dolls, and movies. Nana and Papa gave Kayla so many really nice clothes. She was so excited...actually Mommy and Daddy were more excited because Kayla always needs new clothes. Mimi came to celebrate with Kayla and tried to take her out in the snow, but Kayla is not a fan of the snow...Mommy isn't either!

Kayla also had her 2 year doctor check-up...she is now 33.5 inches long and 26 lbs. She has definitely grown from the 19 inches and 6.1 lbs when she was born. Thanks everyone for all of the nice presents that she received.

Merry Christmas to YOU!

We enjoyed our Christmas in Kansas City with the company of family and friends. Kayla got lots of great toys and new clothes. The car was extremly full going down to Kansas City. There was not an empty chair available. Coming back to Des Moines, it was even fuller. On Christmas Eve, Kayla had a great time chasing Hunter around the house with his sippy cup and yelling "Hunter, Hunter" they were definetly the life of the party. We enjoyed seeing Grannie, Tim, Pam, Sean and the Curry siblings.

On Christmas morning, Kayla opened her presents and Nana and Papa's house then we went over to Mimi and Brian's house where Kayla and Christy opened more gifts. Kayla and Christy got matching K-State rocking chairs and had a great time playing musical chairs. We also enjoyed seeing G-G, Aunt Judy and Mike. We made our trip back to Des Moines a little earlier than planned due to a snow storm in Des Moines. Here are some pictures of the holiday!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We saw a lot of family that we have not seen for awhile. Aunt Jane and Nancy both flew into Kansas City for the weekend. We enjoyed Thanksgiving with them. We also enjoyed going out to dinner with the Bloch side of the family for mexican! Thanks for a great time!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year was just as busy as the others. We tried to spend time with all of our family and friends. It has been awhile since we have been to Kansas City. We enjoyed seeing everyone. For Thanksgiving, we spent the morning and afternoon with Sarah's side of the family, then we spent the late afternoon/evening with Jeff's side of the family. During both adventures, there was plenty of food for us to enjoy. Kayla liked playing with Christy and Hunter. She is such a ham; she poses for every picture! We also enjoyed the company of our friends, Lindsey and Brad. On Saturday night we found out Jeff's sister recently became engaged to Rusty! We sure crammed in a lot of fun into one weekend!

Light the Night

Shawna and I joined Nicole for a walk to honor people with Leukemia. We went to West Glen and walk around the strip mall. Everyone in the walk recieved a red baloon with a light in it. We also walked by hot air baloons that lit up the night!

Pumpkin Patch

It is that time of year again. Hayrides, pumpkins, slides, corn, and homemade pie!
Mimi came to visit us and we went to the pumpkin patch together. We enjoyed a long hayride and playing outdoors. Kayla liked playing in the kernels of corn.

Our New House!

This is our new house! We will move into the home in October. This is a new construction home, we are so excited to be the first owners! We are having having the builders extend the deck and finish the basement!
