Curly Kayla

Kayla's hair is starting to grow! Thank goodness! We gave her a bath yesterday and her hair is so curly! Only time will tell what her hair will be like when it grows longer. I can't wait to put her hair up like Pebbles!

Crash and Burn!

Well Kayla is starting to walk between furniture. I need to get this on tape because it is really funny. She is holding on to one piece of furniture and leans her whole body to the other piece. By this point,she is practically horizontal. She attempts to take a few steps to the desired furniture. Although I am excited for Kayla's journey of walking, it also has its disadvantages. For instance, the picture shows Kayla with a black eye. She was trying to walk to the coffee table and crashed! She hit the only hard part of the table. In fact, we went to target when Kayla was becoming more mobile and bought a really soft coffee table that we mimicked from Aunt Judy. We use to have a glass coffee table. I am sure glad the glass table is now in storage!

Her 12 month weight verdict!

Kayla weighed 19 pounds and 1 ounce. Congratulations to a third of the voters! Kayla is turning more and more into a toddler everyday! Her attutide is like one! I know, I know...I have not seen anything yet! We are trying to have her drink out of a sippy cup and she throws them on the ground once I give it to her. Then I pick it up, put it on her high chair and she throws it on the ground again! Oh well. I think she is starting to become a true toddler!

Happy First Birthday to my friend Jack!

My friend Jack turned one today. Mommy used to work with his mom. Jack and I get together sometimes for play dates. Today, we joined them for pizza and birthday fun! Mommy didn't have her camera with her but here is an older picture of the two of us. I am so lucky to have a friend just five days apart from me!

Happy First Birthday Kayla!

Our little girl turns one today! In fact, exactly one as I write this. Kayla was born at 10:23 a.m. on January 5, 2009. One year today! At birth she weighed 6 pounds, one oz. She was also 19 inches. Today, we went to the doctor's office and she is 29 inches tall. Weight? Well, you need to vote her weight on the side of this blog! I will let you vote for a week, then I will let you know! Here are some pictures to see how much she has changed in a year!

Curry Christmas Party!

Oh man, I am so spolied! I got too many gifts, but I love them all. Nana and Papa gave me a different outfit for everyday of the month! They must think I need to change clothes often. After all, I am a baby who is a very messy eater! I enjoyed playing with cousin Hunter and all of my uncles and aunts. Many relatives saw me for the first time. They all thought I was so cute! I love hearing that!

Christmas at Grammy's House

Christmas day was a white Christmas! The day was full of snow. We had Christmas at Grammy two days in a row because Aunt Judy and cousin Christy were snowed in. Plus my cousin was not feeling well. Poor Christy! She is feeling much better now! My favorite toy was my shopping cart! Cousin Christy got a shopping cart just like me! Mommy and daddy gave me presents to open, but I have not gotten the hang of it yet. Most of my gifts were opened by my parents. Also, another favorite gift of mine was the Christmas dress Grammy made for me. I know she spent a lot of time sewing the dress for me. It was my first custum fit dress! Look how cute I look! I am very thankful for everything!

Bloch Christmas Party

Kayla speaking here! I enjoyed going to the Bloch Christmas party. Relatives were there to greet me with a smile. In fact, a few relatives, I met for the very first time! I was dressed in my Santa costume and impressed everyone! Merry Christmas to you all!

Kayla's Kansas City Birthday!

I loved eating cake for the very first time! I also love the fact that my birthday is so close to Christmas! I kept opening gift after gift! I am so thankful for all of my wonderful friends and family. I have so many people who care about me!
My mommy and daddy got me a chocolate princess cake for me to have. It was my first time having any type of dessert. At first, I was not sure what to do, but with time, I knew exactly how to dig into my cake!
